“I’m very happy with my new bridge. I hardly notice it is there The patients previous bridge had metal under the porcelain and the shade did not match his natural teeth. His new bridge was made of all porcelain in order to better mimic natural enamel. A custom shade was a neccesity due to the high charecterization of his adjacent natural teeth. Our patient came in expecting just a new bridge and walked away with a renewed sense of confidence. |

The before picture shows notching of the enamel at the neck of two teeth. This is called abfraction. Abfraction happens when the force of the bite makes the tooth flex or bend so much that the enamel begins to flake off at the gumline. Our patient had significant sensitivity in these exposed areas. Brushing and drinking cold water was unbearable. We placed two tooth colored resin fillings to protect this area from further breakdown and bring relief to our patient. |
